Jana Sharp is the founder and principal of Sharp Insight, LLC, a strategic consulting firm devoted to supporting mission-driven organizations in measuring and strengthening their impact. She is responsible for the vision and management of Sharp Insight and providing each engagement with strategic and content oversight. Jana is well regarded by her clients for her collaborative work style, deep knowledge of evaluation theory and practice, interactive facilitation, and her personal investment in their organizations. Since 2002, she has provided evaluation consulting services to hundreds of organizations and has led a wide range of initiatives at the local, state, and national level. Initially drawn to the field of evaluation through her work in education and public health, Jana is continually inspired by the challenge of bridging research and practice. Her deepest sense of professional fulfillment comes from partnering with organizations to improve outcomes in their communities. Jana began her career as a middle school Spanish teacher in the New Jersey and Illinois public school systems. She is a Spanish speaker and has twice served as an international public health volunteer in Venezuela. Jana earned her undergraduate degree from Northwestern University and her Master of Public Health from the University of Maryland. Jana is a member of the American Evaluation Association and Washington Area Evaluators.
