Nicole Paolozzi
Founder & CEO at OndeCare On Demand Care Corp. dba OndeCareBiography
I am a diplomat’s daughter and have been fortunate to have lived all over the world. I have witnessed first hand many cultures, beauty, and hardships. I attended college in the United States (Purdue University) and the foundation for my career was with American Express where I was in middle market sales, large market account management; and then led our knowledge management division in Team Amex before being recruited into our first Six Sigma blackbelt cohort where we applied the defect reduction methodology to improving services as opposed to products. Prior to launching OndeCare, I led several high-end service organizations the last of which was a boutique business strategy consultancy.Ever since I can remember, I have been driven to solve big problems – from protecting children from abusive situations to solving the caregiving crisis. OndeCare was born from a need I have felt acutely myself. First, when I was a single mom in Chicago with a demanding job and a toddler, I used to dream of a taxi dispatch-like service (before UBER existed) that would drop off a tenured nurse or a retired teacher – someone I would implicitly trust – to take care of my daughter while I balanced the demands of my job. Then years later while managing our own business, my husband and I were the caretakers of aging parents, one with Parkinson’s, and two children, one of which was diagnosed with Tourette’s.Unlike the incumbent solutions, OndeCare was built around the needs of professional caregivers to solve the caregiving needs of families juggling demanding jobs and care of loved ones. OndeCare is the only matching and bidding home care marketplace backed by concierge-level support. Our caregivers are earning 1.5X – 2X the industry average and clients are spending 1/4 less than traditional home care. So far, OndeCare has provided worthwhile jobs to more than 500 professional caregivers and served more than 300 families with reliable, in-home family care on their own terms.
