Hi, I am Juliana! I first moved to the DMV 21 years ago from the Midwest, following a career path in environmental policy. I worked a little over 10 years in the field, specializing primarily in marketing communications – my most senior position as Senior Marketing Manager of Oceana, an international ocean conservation group headquartered in DC.

I discovered barre3 when I had my second child and was taking a hiatus from full-time work. Long distance running was my favorite way to workout, but it became much more challenging with two kiddos in a double stroller. I originally resisted the idea of going to a barre3 class because group fitness was never my thing – it just felt intimidating. Fast forward and I have been teaching barre3 classes for 5 years and now own barre3 Bethesda, based in Maryland. I never imagined I would teach fitness or own a business, but I have never looked back! My favorite part about owning the studio is the supportive community I am helping to cultivate and knowing that my work is supporting people’s lives in the best way possible, giving them a space to feel welcomed, stronger and also at home in their bodies. I also love fusing my passion for creating synergetic partnerships between likeminded individuals and organizations.
