Peter J. Porretta, principal architect, brings a unique sensibility to architectural design. Growing up in the family construction business, he learned to appreciate the full scope of talents needed to execute an architectural concept through the challenges of the construction process to completion.
His design philosophy derives from that of the Roman architect Vitruvius, who famously wrote that a building should have “firmness, commodity, and delight.” A building should perform; it should provide a return on investment; and it should be a pleasure to view and to occupy.
Porretta broadened his design and construction experience with a master’s degree in business administration and co-ownership in a real estate development company. He understands developers because he has been there—designing, financing, building and selling.
