Rob Sokol

Rob Sokol graduated from the Seattle University Matteo Ricci college with majors in pre-law and International Relations, specializing in economics and Chinese. He moved to China for two years to learn the language. While there, he managed Fosters Beer for the city of Nanjing and developed new business relationships across the province. From China, Mr. Sokol moved to Washington, DC, where he began working at the Library of Congress as the creative director for the Librarian. He eventually began managing large-scale programs, culminating in the visitor experience, a privately funded, $23m innovative program involving 17divisions, more than 250 staff, and many more contractors. After 12 years in the federal government, Mr. Sokol chose to move to the non-profit sector and one of the other top architectural masterpieces in DC, the National Cathedral. He arrived as the director for Strategic Programs and is now the Chief Operating Officer. He established the organizations first strategic plan and continues to manage the Cathedral’s top strategic priorities and growth projects.
