Shainoor Khoja is the founder and CEO of Thrive Community, an innovative, digital platform that keep seniors connected and engaged with their families and caregivers. She also leads Better Business Enterprise, a strategic management consultancy with a focus on utilizing technology for social impact in emerging markets.

Shainoor has spent the past two decades driving social and economic development in critical fields, particularly healthcare and education in some of the world’s most challenging environments. She has also led fundraising efforts for major international development organizations including the World Bank, Mercy Corps and the Aga Khan Foundation. She is the recipient of B Corporation’s “Hal Taussig Lifetime Achievement” and Babson College’s “Lewis Institute Changemaker Award”, which are the culmination of her efforts in this field.

Shainoor is a current Governor of the International Development Research Center in Canada and a Board Member of Canada World Youth. She has been invited to talk on the “Power of Purpose” at the World Forum for a Responsible Economy, was a keynote speaker at B Corporation’s “Champions Retreat” and has authored numerous articles on socioeconomic development in emerging markets.

Shainoor has a strong healthcare business background, having previously built and owned a successful chain of physiotherapy clinics. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Physiotherapy from St. Thomas Hospital and a Master of Business Administration and Health Management from City University, London. Shainoor has attended the Stanford Executive MBA, Harvard University for CSR and holds a Post Graduate Certificate in Cross Sector Partnerships from Cambridge University.
