Turner is admittedly a bit of a fitness and nutrition geek, which serves as the genesis for The Vegetable & the Butcher (“V&B”). Turner initially developed V&B to satisfy an unfulfilled void in his life, but has realized that quite a few people share the same need. V&B is a hybrid restaurant/food retailer focused on serving prepackaged, portion-controlled healthy meals for takeout in a convenient format. The V&B menu is designed and conceived by a fine dining chef, approved by a registered dietitian, and focused on locally sourced seasonal ingredients. In addition to nutrition and fitness, Turner enjoys photography, surfing, rock climbing, basketball, sand volleyball, and just about any other outdoor activity. He also loves good food and appreciates a great meal with great company.
Prior to co-founding V&B, Turner spent three years in real estate private equity investment with The Carlyle Group and JP Morgan. Turner received his MBA in real estate and finance from Rice University and his BBA in finance from the University of San Diego.
