Gina Adams
Founder @ Wareologie WareologieBiography
Life, as they say, comes full circle. Many moons ago, I earned my BS in Human Environment and Design from MSU and worked in sales for The North Face. While there, I volunteered and taught people with disabilities how to ski. Working with an underserved population is tremendously rewarding. This opened my eyes to the need for adaptive equipment to empower people of all abilities the freedom to explore the outdoors in comfort. This started me on my journey to help others through innovation.
Today, I am a problem-solving entrepreneur with more than 20 years of experience in product development management. I excel at transforming ideas into commcerialized products, and penetrating markets through multifaceted, strategic partnerships. While acquiring my MBA, I launched, the Woman Owned Small Business, Wareologie. A human-centered design approach enables me to ensure optimal product function and outcomes working side by side those who benefit from our technology.
My purpose is to develop products that improve people’s independence and quality of life. My mission is to develop simple, intuitive, and innovative technology that improves the lives of clinicians, patients, and the entire health continuum.
Early mobilization improves patient outcomes. Period. Warelogie’s latest innovation is transforming how the 4 million people who suffer catastrophic accidents each year and the millions who battle chronic diseases access rehabilitative therapy. Empowering the healthcare providers who treat them to serve patients more safely in the convenience of one’s room or home, provides time and potential safety advantages for strained clinicians. Our goal is to improve the lives of patients and providers.
As a proud recipient of the Veterans Health Administration’s Innovation Network (VHA iNet) Greenhouse initiative, we collaborated with the VA subject matter experts from Richmond, VA to design the world’s first portable, lightweight mobile tool. Wareologie™ Portable Parallel Bars are patent-pending, FDA Class 1 mobile device that fold and have wheels, empowering clinicians to mobilize patients bedside earlier in the recovery process. Our portable bars provide independence and confidence for patients to weight bear in hospitals, rehab facilities, and at home.
Launching a startup has been incredibly challenging. I am so proud of the fact we now support patients and Veterans across the US. We owe a debt of gratitude to Lawrence Technological University’s Centrepolis Accelerator, AARP AgeTech Collaborative, VHA iNet, and investment funding by JumpStart Foundry and our private investors.
On a personal note, I am a proud mother of 2 amazing children (18 and 20). I love traveling, exploring, and meeting people. After work, you’ll find me serving my nonprofit, Peace, Love & Planet (since 2008), supporting the Michigan United Cerebral Palsy Board, in my garden, at yoga, and spending time with my kids.
I’ll leave you with this: we are living in an incredibly challenging time. Treating people with respect and kindness nurtures authentic personal and professional relationships. Listen. Surround yourself with people you enjoy and trust to achieve happiness and, with intention, craft a better world for future generations.
