Jared graduated in 2012 with a BS in Information Systems and Operations Management from George Mason University. Immediately after college, he took a job with a large IT company as a business analyst working on financial ERP software. Jared decided that working all day in database software and a sea of cubicles was not for him and was immediately looking for a way out. He accidentally fell into web design when creating a blog and spent a significant amount of free time he had at work learning skills and planning his business. In early 2013, Jared founded Brevity (fka “Streamline”)and, as soon as he had his first paying customer a few months later, started doing it full-time (only six months after he started his IT job). Brevity helps local businesses, associations, and non-profits expand their credibility and tell their story online through web development and digital marketing services.
