BUILD, is looking for volunteers! Work directly with students in under-resourced areas to teach them the skills they need to prepare them for high school, college, and their future careers. BUILD works to ignite the passion in young boys and girls living in under-resourced communities through entrepreneurial learning. Since it was founded by Suzanne McKechnie in 1999, BUILD has grown enormously — partnering with 20 schools and incubating more than 750 youth businesses.
Student entrepreneurs in this school year can use all the help they can get. Below, please find volunteer opportunities for Netcito members:
1.) Become a BUILD mentor – Work weekly with student entrepreneurs to build relationships and teach them real world skills. Click here to learn more about becoming a mentor!
2.) Idea Pitch Judges – November 14 – 17 is the first event for BUILD’s 9th-grade student entrepreneurs. Idea Pitch Judges help students practice their public speaking and choose which ideas get launched.
3.) All Volunteer Roles – There are so many ways to get involved with students of BUILD. Click here to see the rest of the volunteer opportunities.
If you are interested in volunteering, sign up here. Roles are filling up fast, so if you feel passionate about a specific role, apply ASAP. If you have any questions, contact Peter Mellen at Netcito and I will connect you.
