A native Chicagoan, Jacob received his B.A. from DePaul University before moving to San Francisco to begin his career in technology. He joined Groove.co (acquired by Clari in 2023) as an early employee managing full cycle business development and sales. After helping Groove scale, he moved to New York and led growth initiatives at WeWork and Industrious, acquiring industry knowledge in the continuously-evolving real estate space. Following Industrious, he went on to obtain his MBA at Georgetown’s McDonough School of Business, where he shifted his focus to investing and completed a year-long fellowship at Lavrock Ventures and the Georgetown Angel Investor Network.

After spending a considerable amount of my career working with early-stage startups, I’ve grown to appreciate the challenges entrepreneurs face as they grow their businesses. I love the idea of creating a community who can help these founders solve their most pressing issues.

I’m a level 1 sommelier and I worked at a wine bar in DC during my MBA.
